An elasticated 3 metre SUP leash with a breakaway safety system.
Unlike an ankle leash, the SUP quick leash attaches to a quick release belt. It fastens with velcro at both ends.
It is important in certain conditions, for example falling into the water in currents, river, surf, to be able to quickly detach from the board, so as not to get tangled in it leash under the load of the board. That is, the quick link can perform the same function as the ankle leash, namely if you fall, the board is next to you to get back on it. But beyond that, if the tension on the leash and the exertion to keep the board attached to you is too great and poses a risk to you, then the leash will detach from the belt along with the board. That can be adjusted by setting the amount of velcro in contact. With the velcro fully attached, the strap will break at 0.5 kN.
Another big advantage is that you can leave one part of the leash attached to the board and the other part to the belt. So, when you get on the stand-up paddle board, you only have to fasten the buckle. Fast and easy.
