P&H Force 4 kayak sails are available in two versions: with a sail area of 0.75 m² and 1.05 m².
By sail in this case, we mean the whole rig: the mast, the sail itself, ropes and fittings for installation.
Unlike sails that only work with a headwind, the Force 4 sail will take you where you want to go, even if you’re sailing upwind.
The sail is really unique in that you can raise and lower the mast easily and in one motion. When not in use, it stays folded and taped to the deck of the kayak without getting in the way of paddling.
Why do you care at all? The short answer is that you don’t necessarily need a sail to kayak. But experienced kayakers will appreciate the benefits it provides.

Choose the 0.75m² option if you want to use the sail in the widest range of wind strength. That is, in light winds you will be slower than if you use the 1.05 m² sail, but you will be able to ride in stronger winds on a sail. It is perfect for kayaks like Aries, Delphin or Virgo. These kayaks are factory prepared for sail mounting (no need to drill holes in the kayak for mast base mounting).
Choose the 1.05 m² option, if you generally paddle in lighter winds and want to use the sail to its full potential or if you are an adrenaline seeker.
