Excursion Evo is very similar to Poseidon, the main differences being that Excursion is 2 cm wider and has 10 kg more load capacity. Although theoretically greater width adds stability, it also theoretically slows down the kayak.
You would choose Excursion Evo if you paddle mostly in rivers and you need more maneuverability.
So far, we have found no evidence that the stern of the Excursion stands higher above the water, as is commonly believed by some “connoisseurs”. The volume of the rear luggage compartments is the same, the distribution of weight and the location of the two cockpits – too. Apparently it all comes down to the correct distribution of luggage and the different weight of the paddlers.
To quote Prijon (which we agree with), the Excursion Evo is an ideal kayak with good maneuverability for trips in the sea and rivers. Due to its large volume, this is a kayak with a high degree of safety. Due to the hard (HTP) material and the shape of the body, this kayak will withstand heavy loads and will serve you for a long time.
