Chinook is a jacket that can be used in quite harsh conditions: it will protect you dry not only from splashes, but also when the water literally floods you! The double waist allows you to hold the spray skirt between the two layers. Thus, even if the water seeps through the capillary path to the waist (with a neoprene spray skirt), you remain completely dry. In combination with pants like the Atom, you get a semi-dry suit: even if you fall into the water, the water will take a long time to soak!
The jacket has a double collar that opens in warmer weather for better ventilation.
The inner collar is made of Exoskin® and fastens with Velcro. Exoskin is a revolutionary material based on aliphatic polyurethane, soft and pleasant to the touch, elastic, waterproof and UV-resistant. It has many advantages over latex: wearing comfort, much longer life and does not cause an allergic reaction. It is also used in medical prostheses and orthoses, bicycle seats, etc.
