You would prefer a single kayak to a double kayak in the following cases:
- If you are little individualistic and want to always have control over the kayak and the situation
- If you want to “blow off steam” on the dam, and there is no one to keep you company
- If you want a relatively lightweight kayak that you can get on / off from the car by yourself
- If you have acquaintances with kayaks who invite you to join them, and you can’t convince your partner for a two-seater kayak
- If you have a company with single or double kayaks
- If the single kayak looks just more elegant to you
If you already go for a single kayak, go for choosing your Single Sit-On-Top Kayak or Single Sit-in Kayak
You would prefer a double kayak to a single kayak in the following cases:
- If you have a boyfriend / girl and you can’t separate more than a meter apart from each other
- If you want to achieve or maintain high speed, because two are stronger than each one
- If you are sure that you will both want to paddle in one direction
- If you do not have enough funds or space for 2 single kayaks
- If you have a growing son or daughter and you both want to feel safe
- If you have a pet that you want to take with you at all times
If you already have chosen the two-seater kayak, go for choosing a Double Sit-On-Top Kayak or a Double Sit-in Kayak.
