This pump has a flow rate 30 L per minute and doesn’t have any parts that can corrode from saltwater.
If dropped into water, it does not sink.
It is usually stored under the deck bungees, well fixed.
It is used to quickly pump water out from the cockpit if you had to get back into the kayak, full of water after rescue or self-rescue, or the wave in the surf zone filled the cockpit before you could attach firmly the spray skirt.
