Paddling SUP is easy, even if you are trying for the first time. Paddling straight and turning effectively require little exercise.
- You get on board first on your knees, lean on your hands and stand up with both legs at the same time.
- The feet are in a line perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the paddle board and are located on both sides of the built-in carrying handle.
- Moving forward and backward on the paddle board is done either with a slight jump with both legs at the same time or with quick and short steps.
- The correct posture is with a straight back and slightly bent knees.
- To have a larger and more efficient stroke of the paddle, lean forward with your arm outstretched when the blade is immersed.
- The scooping begins when the blade is pushed forward as much as possible and is completely immersed in the water. The pressure on the paddle shaft continues until the blade is in line with the legs.
- To move in a straight line without constantly changing the side from which you are paddling do following: When you sink the paddle, paddle to the paddle board first. Then continue the movement by pulling the blade parallel to the board. A slight arc of scooping is obtained. There is another technique as well.
